For over 136 years, the Wilson–Thompson family farm has stood as a living testament to perseverance, faith, and the enduring power of land. Established by John Wesley Thompson in the fertile soil of Arkansas, the farm has been preserved across generations — a rare and sacred legacy of Black-owned farmland stewarded with quiet pride.

In 2023, the farm was honored with the Arkansas Century Farm Award, presented by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders — a formal recognition of more than a century of unbroken family ownership and devoted cultivation. Deacon Earl Wilson, Jr. carried this legacy forward with the same hands that worked the land, the same heart that loved his family, and the same faith that anchored his days.
